Professor Dr. Chin Kin Fah is one of few foremost laparoscopic surgeons in our country currently serving as Professor of Surgery in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman & Laparoscopic Consultant Surgeon in Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Assunta Hospital, Tung Shin Hospital, Putra Hospital Kajang and Ampang Hospital. He holds Adjunct Professorship at Taylor’s University and INTI International University. As a Visiting Professor and trainer, he visits University Medicine (1) Yangon and Defense Services Medical Academy, Myammar. He was the former Head of School for School Of Medicine, Taylor’s University and former Professor of Surgery at University Malaya. 

He is the pioneer of ‘SILENT MENTOR Program in Malaysia’, a humanity program that encourages people to come forward, donate their body after their demise for betterment and benefit of Medical Education, Training & Research since 2012. Many specialists, intern doctors & medical students will use the donated remains as cadaver. He launched the i´éčSilent Mentor Program incorporating liberal arts, and established the Academy For Silent Mentor, a not-for–profit independent education institution, on 29th March 2017. The Academy For Silent Mentor runs state of the Art Medical Simulation Training Centre in Kuala Lumpur and Kuching.

Professor Dr. Chin lived in UK for almost 2 decades and decided to uproot and come home to Malaysia, bringing his vast knowledge, expertise and experience in laparoscopic surgery. Being the governor for ELSA and APMBSS, his presence and guidance has helped alleviate the standards of Malaysian medical technology in the region.
